Also, Los Angeles and Hollywood is just a small section of the state, you're probably thinking of Southern California, specifically, or just the famous cities (including San Francisco) that are predictably more expensive than the entire rest of the state and country.
...However, if all these Californians moving to Atlanta, Georgia are causing a "brain-drain" here and things really do get bad here as a result, then I could be more flexible...

I know it's kinda late, but the closest thing that would fit that description is @markiplier. He has a newgrounds account and eventually became an actor as well as a director for the iron lung. Also, he voices 5.0.5. in cartoon network's completely neglected show, Villainous.
